The Green Chile Café is located on the west end of the building and is open to the public. Meals are served daily between the following hours:
Breakfast 6:30 am – 9:15 am
Lunch 11:00 am – 1:15 pm
Snack Time 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Call in After Hours 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
The Dining Room is open for coffee, tea, vending or relaxing at all times.
When you are ready to order simply dial 1771 from your telephone and place you order with a member of the Food Services Staff.
Vending is available 24-hours per day and offers, assorted snacks and beverages. Vending machines are located next to the main registration area, emergency ambulance bay, emergency room waiting and adjacent to our medical surgical patient unit in addition the Green Chile Café Dining Room.
Complimentary small coffee and tea is available in our vending area adjacent to the main registration area and in The Green Chili Café.
Guest trays are available for visitors at $5.50 per tray, if you would like a guest tray dial 1771, visit the cafeteria or ask the hostess for assistance. Guest trays may not be charged to the patient room. We accept cash or credit cards in room for payment.
We ask if you would like to eat at the same time as the patient you are visiting you order 45 minutes ahead of time. If you have any questions about guest meals, you may call the Nutrition Services Department 736-8325. From within the hospital, simply dial extension 1771.
The diet, such as a regular, consistent carbohydrate or low sodium, is determined by the patient’s doctor. A selective menu following the prescribed diet is spoken by the hostess from Nutritional Services. Daily a hostess will assist with meal selections. The menu selected will be for the next meal or meals. A proper diet plays an important role in your treatment and care. Your doctor may change your diet during so as to provide you the best care. If you have any food allergies, or preferences, please inform your nurse.
Orthopedic Patients will utilize a room service menu that is located in the room, please call 1771 to place your order. We will bring your meal within 30 minutes.
Our medical surgical unit has a small nourishment room with foods for patients. Ask your hostess, CNA, or nurse for these items. Some of the items you may request include assorted juices, soups, coffee, tea, milk, ice cream, cereal, applesauce, graham crackers, pudding, peanut butter, crackers and condiments.
A Registered Dietitian directs the Nutritional Services Department. During your admission he may visit you to provide nutrition education. Our hostess or other Nutritional Services Team member will gladly answer any questions you may have regarding your diet, menu or specific food preferences. If you wish to speak directly to the dietitian you may call 736-8325, within the hospital call Extension 1770.
