At Artesia General Hospital, our Laboratory Services team is ready around the clock to deliver reliable diagnostic testing for patients in Artesia, Carlsbad, Roswell, and the surrounding communities of southeast New Mexico. With accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), we ensure high-quality results that enable your entire care team to make informed decisions.  

A coordinated, testing-focused team

Our laboratory professionals, who include board-certified pathologists, registered medical technologists, and laboratory technicians, work closely with your healthcare providers, imaging services, and specialty teams across AGH to deliver efficient and accurate diagnostics. Our lab utilizes the latest instrumentation and methods to process over 90,000 test results annually, spanning outpatient collections, inpatient testing, and transfusion services.

  • Outpatient specimen collection (no appointment needed for most routine tests)  
  • Hematology, chemistry, urinalysis
  • Microbiology and culture services
  • Transfusion services and blood product support
  • Specialty test referrals and therapeutic phlebotomy by appointment
