Scott Beard, MD, FACOG, FPMRS

Urogynecology

Scott Beard, MD, FACOG, FPMRS, completed his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Missouri, Truman Medical Center/St. Luke’s Hospital.

Dr. Beard is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also affiliated with the American Urogynecologist Society and the West Central Medical Society.

Before joining the Artesia General Hospital team, he served as the Chief of Surgery at Nor-Lea General Hospital here in New Mexico. Dr. Beard is passionate about partnering with his patients to understand their unique needs and help them take control of their health.

Outside of work, Dr. Beard enjoys skiing, hunting and hiking with his wife and sons.
