Michael C. Speck, MD
Michael C. Speck, MD is a Board-Certified Urologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of urologic conditions for both men and women. He joins the medical team at Artesia General Hospital with a distinguished background in general urology, bringing specialized expertise in male infertility, urinary incontinence, and renal care to the region. Dr. Speck is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate care, ensuring his patients receive the most advanced treatment options available.
Dr. Speck completed his Urologic Surgery Residency and General Surgery Internship at the University of New Mexico. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he received multiple scholarships and honors. Prior to medical school, he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Texas Tech University. His diverse educational journey also includes attending the United States Air Force Academy, where he was recognized with the Commandant’s Award for Military Excellence.
Practicing at Artesia General Hospital, Dr. Speck serves patients in Artesia, Carlsbad, and the surrounding Southeastern New Mexico communities. His care philosophy focuses on open communication and patient empowerment, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs whether they require medical management or surgical intervention.
