Artesia General Hospital proudly announces Katie Gordon, PTA, as our newest Employee of the Quarter! Katie has been a dedicated member of our Rehab Department for over five years. She truly represents the heart and structure of our therapy team.
Katie consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the Rehab Department flows efficiently. Originally starting as a full-time employee, she transitioned to part-time status to care for her young son. However, her coworkers note that she accomplishes incredible amounts of work during her part-time hours.
As an exceptional Physical Therapist Assistant, Katie excels at building rapport with patients and colleagues. She is known for her humble, polite, and approachable personality. Furthermore, she has built a strong clinical niche in treating adolescent sports injuries.
Beyond direct patient care, Katie handles critical administrative duties without needing to be asked. When scheduling gaps arise, she eagerly jumps in to help. She readily makes confirmation calls, assists with audits, and enters data for Medicare tracking. She even manages the outpatient schedule and directs inpatient therapy coverage when leadership is away.
