The High Field Open MRI is a state-of-the-art machine that provides high-quality images while ensuring maximum patient comfort. High Field Open MRI is ideal for patients who may feel claustrophobic or anxious in a traditional MRI machine or who fit more comfortably in the spacious open format.
“Our goal is to provide high-quality imaging services that are accessible and convenient for our community,” said AGH Director of Radiology Roy Thomas. “We understand that not everyone can schedule appointments during traditional business hours, and we want to ensure that our patients have options that fit their schedules. Offering walk-in ultrasounds and Saturday MRIs is a step toward making healthcare more accessible for Carlsbad and the surrounding areas.”
The walk-in ultrasound service allows patients to receive diagnostic ultrasounds without the need for an appointment, streamlining the process for those with unexpected or urgent imaging needs. Meanwhile, Saturday MRI appointments provide a flexible scheduling option for patients who may have difficulty finding time during the week. While Carlsbad Open MRI primarily serves patients from Carlsbad, Artesia and Roswell residents can also utilize the services.
