Artesia General Hospital Foundation Welcomes New Director
The Artesia General Hospital Foundation was established in 2018 with the purpose of improving wellness and quality of life in Artesia and its surrounding areas.
The Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports Artesia General Hospital with funding for capital projects like new equipment—and investments in our employees, such as emergency assistance and educational scholarships through the Joe Schiel Scholarship Fund. Last year alone, the Foundation was proud to award more than $12,000 in scholarships and assist numerous employees with financial assistance.
Join us in welcoming our new Director, Kim Salgado. Read her introduction message below.
Dear Friend of Artesia,
I am excited to have been chosen as the Director of Artesia General Hospital Foundation, and for the chance to do even more missional work with this outstanding organization. I have had the privilege of serving as the Manager at Memorial Family Practice for the past six years. Although I have not given up this role, I am honored to expand my job duties.
Along with the Foundation Board, I hope to lead a continued trajectory of growth—not only to carry on our legacy of generosity, but also to find new avenues to promote wellness in our community.
Good things are not done by a single person; they are done with a team. I look forward to working with my hospital colleagues and our community partners in my new role. Most importantly, I eagerly anticipate getting to know you, our family of supporters, better in the days ahead.
I welcome your ideas and suggestions! I can be reached at foundation@artesiageneral.com or ksalgado@artesiageneral.com.
