Our Year in Service: Connections and Care
Our work over the last year was about bringing comprehensive, quality care right here to our local community. We are grateful for every opportunity to serve our neighbors.
- Over 112,000 Patient Encounters: That’s the total number of times we provided care across our services, ensuring outstanding patient care and safety for every person who walked through our doors.
- This included nearly 15,000 visits to our Emergency Room and over 94,000 Outpatient Clinical Visits, demonstrating our commitment to both urgent needs and preventative, ongoing care.
- We also successfully completed over 2,500 Surgical Procedures and managed 747 Inpatient Admissions, highlighting our full range of acute and specialty care.
- A Full-Service Healthcare Destination: We offer a vast array of services right here in Artesia, so you don’t have to travel far for specialized care. This includes over 30 services, from 3D Mammography and Behavioral Health to the Bone & Joint Center and Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine.
Investing in Our People and Our Town
Our mission extends beyond the walls of the hospital. We are a major employer and an active economic partner in the region, ensuring our community remains a vibrant place to live and work.
- Building the Team: Our commitment to quality means hiring and retaining the best talent. In the last year, we welcomed 109 new employees and worked with a Medical Staff that includes 76 Physicians and 33 Advanced Practice Clinicians, all dedicated to your health.
- Economic Contribution: We directly invested over $32.4 million in payroll and spent over $3.2 million locally, helping to keep our local economy strong.
- Caring for All: Our mission of accessibility includes providing over $7 million in overall Community Benefit, including uncompensated care, to ensure that vital services are available to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
Celebrating Our Community Partners
We firmly believe that a healthier community is a collaborative community. Our impact is exponentially greater because of the many local organizations we have the privilege of supporting and working with throughout the year.
The Green Chile Café, for example, is more than just a meal service for patients and staff; it’s a true community hub, serving an average of 5,500 meals per month and proudly catering for a wide range of local groups.
