A Go-To Resource for the Whole Hospital
Kristi is known throughout AGH as someone who is always willing to help — with a smile on her face. Colleagues from departments across the hospital regularly reach out to her for assistance, and she does her best to find the answer without complaint. She has helped teammates grow in their own accounting knowledge, taking the time to explain not just the answer but the reasoning behind it, so the people she works with come away better equipped for next time.
Her helpfulness extends well beyond the accounting office. As one of the first people patients and visitors see when they walk in, Kristi keeps printed maps on her desk and patiently walks people through directions so they can find their way to the right clinic.
Steady, Capable, and Ready for Anything
Kristi serves as backup for both Payroll and Accounts Payable, and she consistently checks in during Payroll week to see where help is needed. She prints and reviews timesheets, can run payroll when needed, and stepped in to cover Accounts Payable duties while a colleague was out for surgery.
When AGH transitioned to new software, a challenging shift for the whole department, Kristi kept a positive attitude throughout and helped her teammates work through the obstacles that came with it. Her confidence in tackling any task, paired with her calm and encouraging presence, has made her a stabilizing force for her department.
A Well-Deserved Recognition
Kristi’s coworkers describe her simply: she brings out the best in everyone around her. She leads by example and inspires her team to do their best work every day. Her nominator, Vanessa Coss, put it best — Kristi is a great employee who has never come to work with a negative attitude, and she’s a big part of the reason her department works so well together.
