Artesia General Hospital launches Catch It Early campaign—a lifesaving mammogram campaign to encourage women to prioritize health.

In an effort to raise awareness and emphasize the importance of early breast cancer detection, Artesia General Hospital (AGH) is launching its new mammogram campaign, Catch It Early. The initiative, running from September 12 through the end of October, is designed to encourage women to prioritize their health and schedule their annual mammograms.

Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers diagnosed in women, and early detection can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes. The Catch It Early campaign hopes to remind women that regular screenings are one of the best tools in the fight against breast cancer.

“We want to make sure every woman in our community knows that early detection saves lives,” says Roy Thomas, Director of Radiology at AGH. “Mammograms can catch signs of cancer before you experience any symptoms. When detected early, treatment is more effective, and survival rates are higher.”

    A Personal and Community-Focused Approach
The Catch It Early campaign is not just about getting women to schedule their mammograms; it’s about fostering a culture of care and community support. AGH has partnered with local businesses, community organizations, and media outlets to spread the message. Two local businesses Kith and Kin in Artesia and Blue House in Carlsbad are also offering discounts in beverages for women who complete a mammogram.

“The reality is, many women delay mammograms for various reasons—fear, busy schedules, or simply not realizing how important they are,” shares Thomas, “Through this campaign, we aim to educate and encourage women to put their health first. We’re working with the community to make sure this message reaches every woman, no matter her age or background.”

Discounted Screening Days and Community Events
As part of the campaign, AGH will be hosting Discounted Mammogram Days throughout the month of October, offering discounted screenings to women who qualify. The hospital also plans to hold educational workshops, Q&A sessions with health professionals, and community events to engage women and their families.

“We’re pleased to offer these services at a discount to our communities,” says Khushroo Ghadiali, Director of Public Relations. “No one should miss out on life-saving care because of the cost.”

    Make the Call
AGH encourages women over the age of 40, or those with a family history of breast cancer, to call and schedule their mammogram today. The hospital’s team is ready to assist with appointment bookings and answer any questions. Women over 40 don’t need a referral to schedule one.

“Take control of your health and make that call,” urges Thomas “Breast cancer doesn’t wait, and neither should you. Catching it early could save your life.”

To schedule a mammogram, call 855.723.3926 or request an appointment online.

Be proactive. Catch It Early and stay one step ahead of breast cancer.
